Despre Bucuresti

Capital of Romania since 1862, Bucharest is both the largest town and the industrial and commercial centre of the country. The almost 2 million inhabitants place it on the sixth position in the top of the most populated towns from the European Union.

Known as “Small Paris”, name received in he period between the two world wars, Bucharest displays good taste when it comes to architecture, culture and places of entertainment.

If you want to pass an afternoon in open air, you may visit one of the 38 parks of the town. In Cismigiu Garden or Herastrau Park, where you may go on boat on the lake, in Botanical Garden, where you may admire all kinds of plants both autochthon and exotic, or in any other park of the capital you shall enjoy clean air and you shall get rid of quotidian problems.

For a good coffee, you may go with trust in the Old Centre of the town. In Bucharest, there are over 200 coffee houses thus you may choose. If you prefer the tea, you may try one of the 17 tea houses of the capital. And, as the tea always goes better with a book or art gallery, you may visit Carturesti Tea House or Atelier Cafe.

If you are fond of culture you may visit the 19 museums or the 57 art galleries of Bucharest. Here, you shall find out about the history of the capital and of the country or you may enjoy and relax among the marvellous works of historical and contemporary art.

Bucharest also means entertainment. For a night in a club you may choose among 200 clubs and discos where you may dance up to the morning. No matter if you like rock, hip-hop, electro or oriental music you shall certainly find at least a place where you may feel good.

Bucharest is a living town. Once arrived here, no one wishes to go.
